A Custom-Made Liberty® Automatic Pool Cover for a Unique-Shaped Pool on the U.S. West Coast
On the west coast of the United States, a swimming pool with a strikingly unique geometry is now equipped with a custom-made automatic pool cover by Aqualift. Neither a conventional shape nor standard dimensions, this project required a fully bespoke design capable of following an unconventional layout while incorporating a staircase and two submerged benches. Measuring 9 x 3 meters, the Liberty range rose to the challenge without compromising the aesthetic vision of the owners.
When the Pool Shape Defines the Design of the Automatic Pool Cover
Faithfully reproducing an unconventional pool geometry on a movable floor is far from a standard task. The staircase and two submerged benches required precise cut-outs and connections, carefully calculated to ensure that the surface remained uniform and safe, regardless of its position. Upstream, Aqualift’s engineering department modeled every angle of the pool to guarantee a perfect fit between the movable floor and the pool walls, with no gaps or vulnerable areas.
This ability to accommodate highly specific shapes is what sets the Liberty range apart: while other solutions are limited to rectangular pools, Aqualift designs a movable floor that follows the exact shape of the pool, no matter how complex it may be.This project confirms that an unconventional pool shape is never a barrier to designing a fully customized movable floor.
